Shayan Kamalie
Founder
Shayan is the founder of Kamalie Law and is the head of the Civil & Commercial and Family Law Group.
Shayan’s practice is exclusively focused on disputes and litigation. He is known as a fearless advocate who takes a “no-nonsense” approach when representing his clients. His ultimate aim is to achieve excellent results for clients, whether in the courtroom or through negotiation.
Prior to founding Kamalie Law, Shayan worked at one of the largest law firms in Canada. Today, Shayan represents individuals and small to medium businesses in high conflict matters including, but not limited to, contractual disputes, real estate disputes, family disputes, construction disputes, shareholder disputes, and debt/loan recovery.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Shayan was a Reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces where he participated in challenging field exercises and simulations. This experience enhanced his ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment under pressure – qualities he brings to his legal practice.

Karan Khak
Lawyer
Karan is a seasoned litigation lawyer at Kamalie Law. His practice focuses on contractual disputes, real estate litigation, and family law disputes.
Karan has several years of experience at a top regional law firm in Ontario as well as one of the largest and most prominent insurance companies in Canada. He has represented large corporations, small businesses, individuals, and insurers.
He has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court and License Appeal Tribunal. He has successfully argued trials and has resolved a majority of his claims through various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediations.

Amanda Atchison
Manager of Operations
Amanda is the Manager of Operations at Kamalie Law. She is responsible for providing administrative support on all litigation matters and handles the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Amanda has over a decade of experience working at a Bay Street law firm in a variety of roles. She has developed an intuitive understanding of the legal process along with an encyclopedic knowledge of the legal system and Rules of Civil Procedure. Amanda’s attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills are invaluable assets to the firm and clients alike.
Amanda is a paralegal in the making – we cannot wait to have her on our team as an advocate.

Shadi Kamalie
Articling Student
Shadi is an articling student at Kamalie law. She is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa where she developed a passion for litigation. She is particularly interested in developing a practice in civil and commercial disputes.
