Shayan Kamalie

Founder

Shayan is the founder of Kamalie Law and is the head of the Civil & Commercial Law Group.

Shayan is a seasoned litigator with nearly a decade of experience exclusively in litigation and high-conflict disputes. Known for his fearless advocacy and unwavering commitment to his clients, he has built a strong reputation for his strategic, no-nonsense approach. Whether in the courtroom or at the negotiation table, Shayan is dedicated to securing exceptional results for his clients.

Before founding Kamalie Law, Shayan honed his skills at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, one of Canada’s largest and most prestigious law firms. Today, he provides strategic legal representation to individuals and small to medium-sized businesses, handling a wide range of litigation matters, including contractual disputes, real estate conflicts, fraud, construction disputes, shareholder disagreements, and debt recovery.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Shayan served as a Reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he engaged in rigorous field exercises and simulations. This experience sharpened his strategic thinking and ability to make sound decisions under pressure—skills that now define his approach to litigation and advocacy.

Michael Campbell

Michael is a civil and commercial litigation lawyer at Kamalie Law. He delivers strategic, practical, and results-oriented legal solutions to his clients. Before joining Kamalie Law, Michael served as legal counsel for Tarion, where he gained in-depth knowledge of construction-related disputes.

Prior to his legal career, Michael spent almost 20 years as a paramedic, honing his ability to think and act critically under pressure—a skill he now applies to complex litigation matters. His strategic approach and commitment to advocacy help clients navigate legal challenges with confidence.

Amanda Atchison

Manager of Operations & Financial Controller

Amanda is the Manager of Operations at Kamalie Law. She is responsible for providing administrative support on all litigation matters and handles the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Amanda has over a decade of experience working at a Bay Street law firm in a variety of roles. She has developed an intuitive understanding of the legal process along with an encyclopedic knowledge of the legal system and Rules of Civil Procedure. Amanda’s attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills are invaluable assets to the firm and clients alike.

Amanda is a paralegal in the making – we cannot wait to have her on our team as an advocate.
